Recycle-bot
Challenge: Design and build a robot able to put recyclables in bin taller than its starting height
Solution: Remote controlled recycle-bot with pivot arm, gripper and chassis powered by servos
Logistics: 9 weeks, 4 people
My Role: Brainstorm and sketch conceptual ideas; model robot in SolidWorks; Laser cut, mill and assemble parts; troubleshoot as needed
Lessons Learned: Practiced CAD modelling, drawing details, mechanical design and manufacturing
